Whick Care

Learn more about caring for your Whick Reserve Candle below.

The First Burn

Be sure to allow your melt pool (the liquid wax) to reach all sides of the candle before blowing it out to prevent uneven melting and maximize the burn time of your Whick.

Subsequent Burns

Continue to allow the melt pool to reach all sides of the candle.

Snip That Wick

Always trim your wick to 1/4 inch (that's roughly half the width of your pinky, friends) before each burn.

Cleaning The Glass for Whiskey

After you burn your Whick Reserve candle, follow these steps to clean your glass and pour your favorite whiskey.

  1. Blow out the candle and let any remaining residual wax harden.
  2. Place the candle in the freezer overnight, we want a frosty glass.
  3. Allow glass to sit at room temperature for five minutes.
  4. Run hot water over any remaining wax to loosen and remove with a non-damaging utensil like a popsicle stick or wooden spoon. Discard wax into the trash.
  5. Remove the wick clip.
  6. Clean out the glass with soap and water.
  7. Pour and enjoy.
